WELCOME TO DARK GORDON PRODUCTIONS
Dark Gordon Productions is a new multimedia company that seeks to be in the driver’s seat in the horror film industry. To do this, we will produce high-quality horror films and television shows using indie style budgeting. Along with high production values, we are passionate about making great film content that viewers will want to see and enjoy watching.
What makes Dark Gordon Productions different from other multimedia companies is their approach to making film content. It starts with a small budget on films that offer less risks, better control of costs, and more of a focus on the creativity of the film content. By providing a great work environment, we want to create successful working relationships with team members that will continue to partner with us on future film projects.
FOUNDERS
Dark Gordon Productions was started in 2018 by two brothers; Brady Gordon and Chris Gordon. Both brothers are passionate and have had a life-long love for the art of filmmaking. What led them to become a part of the film industry was the desire to create and produce great ideas that viewers will want to see and fall in love with. This led to creating their first film so far. A micro-budget, roughly 3-minute short horror film called Play With Me.
Brady Gordon
Brady Gordon is a military brat who was raised early on in different parts of the world, including Panama and Japan. He credits these experiences growing up in different cultures with making him adaptable, keen on problem-solving, and his outside of the box thinking. After living in Japan, his family relocated to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. Because of his respect and admiration for the U.S. military, Brady pursued a career at a military affiliated company after high school.
He received both his bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2014. He is currently working on his master’s degree in Organizational Management. Some of Brady’s accomplishments consist of:
Patent issued in 2023 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Creating and developing automations tools that provide cost savings at his company each year.
Coordinating and leading large scale testing efforts that identify issues before being released that result in reduce costs and time to market.
In 2016, he seriously began to consider making films. He completed his first film, Play With Me, in 2017, which was a micro-budget short film that is close to 3 minutes. After submitting the film to several different film festivals, he received recognition and several awards. Since then, Brady has been involved in the film industry. He has judged films for film contests, continues writing scripts, and learning all he can about filmmaking.
As Brady has gotten older, he is a big believer in paying it forward. He donates to several different organizations including United Way, Wounded Knee, St. Jude, and Roswell Refuge. He is passionate in working with the Roswell Refuge, besides volunteering there, he sits as the President of the Board for the Roswell Refuge. Last but not least,
Brady likes to collect cool stuff like vintage comics, D&D/fantasy collectibles, memorabilia items, and spending time with his awesome wife. He is lucky that she lets him indulge in the “nerdy” hobbies he has.
Chris Gordon
Chris Gordon grew up in a military family that lived all over the world including places such as Panama and Japan. By living in different places and learning new cultural experiences, Chris learned how to be resourceful, embrace new challenges and nurture new relationships. By watching the sacrifices of those in the military firsthand, Chris wanted to follow in their footsteps and joined the military himself.
After graduating from High School, Chris joined the US Army and was given several awards during his time served. Being in the military, he had to deal with and excel during highly stressful and challenging situations. His experiences taught him how to lead others while creating a bond of belonging, support and teamwork.
After leaving the military, Chris attended college full time with the intent of becoming a Pastor. He has always been fascinated with different religions and spiritism around the world. By working with perseverance and dedication, he graduated within two years with a B.A in Pastoral Ministries and a B.A in Bible/Theology.
Chris became a full time Pastor where he utilized leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal relations and communication. He was a mentor and administrator for the youth group, the day care and school that the church provided services for that led to much success.
He later made the decision to leave the ministry to pursue a lifelong goal of opening up a Comic Book store. As a child he loved reading comic books and playing Dungeons and Dragons. This led to his dream of opening a comic book store because he had a deep passion for the stories, artwork and creativity that exists in comics. As a business owner Chris has developed and become well versed in marketing, sales and social media in the comic book industry.
Chris is an avid fan of all cinema. He has a deep desire to create movies that audiences would be thrilled to watch. This has led him to becoming a filmmaker by taking several different film classes, film courses, and several different master film classes. Chris has a great love for animals and supports Shizzy’s Wildcat Rescue. He enjoys spending time with his dog Kisses (Yes, that’s her real name). They love to go hiking and walking together.
